Nature and other organisations have set out versatile routes in the various wooded and scenic areas. What makes it even more exciting is the variation in the countryside. Reclaimed in different decades, the Northeast Polder, the central part of Flevoland and southern Flevoland each has its very own distinctive character. Between Zeewolde and Ermelo (Horst beach) is the Horsterveer ferry for cyclists and hikers that carries you across in seven minutes; a wonderful way to combine the Veluwe and new land!
