Natural recreation
The Dutch Forestry Commission allows you to put up your tent in the most beautiful Flevoland scenic areas in the middle of green areas, with plenty of space and tranquillity. And what could possibly be better than sleeping in the open air, with the only sound coming from an owl calling into the night? Choose a nature campsite or a group campsite. The nature campsites are located in the Aalmeerderhout, Horsterwold, Hulkesteijnse bos wooded areas, the Kuinderbos wooded area, the Reve-Abbert and at the Oostvaardersplassen lakes. Go back to nature and camp with friends or colleagues on the spacious group campsites, with plenty of room to put the tents up close to one another. Perfect! Natural camping is also the central theme at the CampSpirit campsite. This particular campsite is located on the desert island De Kluut in the middle of the Veluwemeer and near Harderwijk, a magnificent spot with an panoramic view of the water. If you don’t feel like bringing camping equipment, simply stay at the attractive tent camp on the island, which has charmingly decorated authentic tents such as tipis (Native American tents) and yurts (nomad tents from Mongolia). Guests camp in the countryside with an eye for nature: the water in the showers and lavatories comes from a private well, waste is separated and the flyers and stationery are made from recycled paper. Buy fresh fruit and vegetables from the private garden to prepare a healthy and tasty meal.
